Abrasion Strength Test
Abrasion testing is used to determine the amount of wear and tear a fabric can withstand. This test was done on Pinatex, a fabric constructed from pineapple fibers. I discovered that it took over 200 rotations on the abrasion machine before it ripped a hole into the fabric.

After about 35 rotations, the wear is really showing

150 rotations: fibers ripping apart

At 100 rotations, fibers are falling out

After 190 rotations, holes begin to form

204 rotations
