Colorfastness to Light

Conclusion:

Manufactured fibers, such as polyester, hold their color fairly well when compared to many natural fibers. The color of the fabric also has an effect on how dramatically it will change. Darker colors such as blues and greens hold their color fairly well, while colors such as yellows, reds, and purples seem to change the most.

Understanding colorfastness to light is very important for textiles that are constantly exposed to sunlight, like draperies, car interiors, tents, or any other outdoor items.
